A belated and brief up-date from The Farnham Film Company for the end of 2001:
Takeaway - the series Movies - activities in low-budget movies Web site - changes to the web site
Takeaway The series, "Takeaway" (Ian Lewis and Rooftop Productions), briefly mentioned in that last, long-ago mailing, is finally complete and delivered: 13 half-hours in 13 countries (in Asia, the Far East, Latin America and the Caribbean) on a really tiny budget. There's more on the web site about the series itself, and about the technical production process (DVCAM shoot/edit and Digi-Beta delivery).
Takeaway is available for acquisition worldwide through Carlton TV International.
Features "Plato's Breaking Point" (produced by Melloney Roffe, directed by Nigel Barker) is also now complete, and available for acquisition on tape, or 35mm. Shooting is currently under way on a second low- budget feaure, "Asylum", which will be ready for showing inthe Summer of 2002.
Web site The web site has had a spring-clean and a general up-date. There'll be more adjustments over the coming weeks. We've just launched a free notice board. This is intended for production and sales-related announcements or requests: got something to sell, something to tell, something you need? Put up a notice. It's just like the card in your friendly local store, but viewablefrom around the world. It's not intended for "I need help tomorrow" messages. Shooting People is a much better place for those. We hope this will be useful, and we have no plans to charge for it. Messages will be tidied up roughly once a month.
That's it for now. With very best wishes for the coming year.
