Farnham Film in June
Newsletter, 25 Jun 2000

Since I've recently been inviting people onto the list, I thought there should be something going out. A few brief bits and pieces for the end of June:

1) New-look web site
2) On-air
3) Books

Web Site
The site changes all the time, of course, and continues to receive adjustments and up-dates on a regular basis, but it has recently been through a complete re-fashioning. The idea is still that it should be fast, simple, and easy to get what you want. Please let me know if anything's broken.

On-air
We've two series going out in the UK at the moment: "Gumdrop" is still early in the morning on "Living"; and "Mona the Vampire" currently on BBC1 on Monday afternoons at 1610, and on Nickelodeon UK in July. Cinar is currently producing episodes 27-39 of Mona. The series will be on ZDF in Germany, and it has been sold to many other countries, too.

An episode of "Gumdrop" is on the web site.

Books
Another plug for my book Guerrilla TV, which gets a really positive review in the current isssue of the Royal Television Society's magazine. Available in all good book shops, online and real world. More details on our site (including a direct to Amazon "buy" button...)

And I've just delivered the manuscript of another book to Focal Press: "Ghosthunter, how to make great short feature films". The lengthy sub-title says it all. It's based around the very glossy 35mm short, currently in the final stages of post-production, from Amulet Films. The book will appear in October.

(While we're on the subject, my second book about the Internet will shortly appear from Oxford University Press: "How to Conquer the Internet".)

That's all at the moment. Several interesting developments are bubbling away in the background, and I hope to be able to announce them in the next few weeks.

Happy holidays
Ian Lewis
