Farnham Film in June Newsletter, 1st June 2005
It's been a long time since the last posting. We've been busy, of course, but it's been lots of low-level activity. Two things to shout about now...
1 Trillo & Suede at Oxford Park 2 Jyothirmayi Cinema
1 Trillo and Suede We've just completed a short film, "Trillo and Suede at Oxford Park", which will stand alone as a short film, but which is also intended as a pilot for a full-length Trillo and Suede feature film. The idea was brought to us by New York ventriloquist, Jonathan Geffner. It's a weird, wonderful, and wacky take on film noir - a little like Roger Rabbit, but involving a world in which ventriloquist's dummies are alive.
The film is online at www.trilloandsuede.com and we've produced a beautiful DVD packed with extras, which will be available for sale.
We're looking for finance and distribution for the full-length feature. If you have any ideas, just get in touch: ian@farnfilm.com
And there'll be more news as the project develops.
2 Jyothirmayi Cinema We've filmed a lot in other countries around the world, and have always been very grateful for the help given by local companies - so we like it when we get an opportunity to return the favour. We've been arranging/fixing the UK filming for two songs for Chennai- based Jyothirmayi Cinema. The experience has been fun - and we hope that this will lead on to making use of the India-UK co- production treaty, which is currently being negotiated.
Thanks for reading.
May your June be all you wish for.
