"Gumdrop", a beautiful blue Austin Clifton Heavy 12/4 had a busy life, was bought and sold, and ended up at last in a scrap yard. There he's found by Mr Oldcastle, who takes him home and lovingly restores him.
Together Mr Oldcastle and Gumdrop have a series of charming and often magical adventures. They encounter Monsters and Ghosts, Elephants and Pirates. They rescue people. They get into trouble.
